Garlic has positive effects on blood pressure, lowers blood fats, and also lowers cholesterol.  Garlic even helps to prevent cancer!  One German study had shown that garlic reduced cholesterol levels by 20 percent in all the test subjects.  This sure beats any medicine you plan on taking.  The best part – it’s completely natural.   Most medicine come with unwanted side effects, and sometimes, the downside outweighs the positive gain.  So what are you waiting for?  Shouldn’t you be eating more garlic? Side note: onions, like garlic, also offers similar health benefits. Ginger also provides excellent benefits for your health.  It has been cultivated and used for thousands of years in China.  It not only acts as a flavoring ingredient, it’s also a medicinal herb! The greatest benefit of ginger is it ability to combat digestive problems.  If you have stomach/digestive problems, I highly recommend eating more ginger, and drinking ginger tea.  Ginger also helps open blocked arteries, and lowers cholesterol. My stomach isn’t the healthiest in the world, but drinking a glass of honey ginger tea every morning has really helped my digestive system.  Side note: eating more fiber also helps lower cholesterol.  Studies have show that people who ate 2 ounces of oat bran each day lowered their LDL cholesterol (the bad type) by 16% in 3 weeks. |
